Yamaha MD4S.
The “MD4S” to be released this time inherits the advanced editing functions of the “MD8”, and features a recorder section that achieves excellent operability such as the adoption of a “jog/shuttle dial”, and a total of 8 recordings with 4 main inputs + 2 stereo inputs. This is a multi-track MD recorder capable of 4-track recording and playback.
In terms of price, while inheriting the editing functions of the high-end model “MD8”, the price has been reduced compared to the conventional model “MD4”. In addition, the synchronization function with other devices has been improved, making it possible to connect 'MD4' and 'MD8' for 8-track/12-track simultaneous multiplex digital recording/playback.
Compression: ATRAC (CXD2538R) - suspected to be able to encode in ATRAC2, the codec in between ATRAC1 and ATRAC3
